Friendly Thrift Center
For more than 50 years, the Friendly Thrift Center has been serving the Quad Cities community. Established in 1970 by six United Methodist churches in Davenport and Bettendorf, the center was created with a mission to provide charitable support, education, and compassionate care for our neighbors. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, the Friendly Thrift Center offers gently used and new clothing, household items, and other essentials at affordable prices. For individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, many items are also provided at no cost through vouchers from local agencies and the Center itself. As a self-supporting organization, every purchase and donation helps make a difference. After operating expenses are covered, remaining funds are distributed as grants to local nonprofit organizations that serve the Quad Cities community.
Volunteer!
The Friendly Thrift Center is always looking for caring volunteers to help receive donations, sort merchandise, and assist customers.
