PROJECTS
1. We>Me Project: We encourage you to invite your friends, colleagues or neighbors who have a strong passion for serving the community and people in need.
2. Kids Against Hunger: We will package 6,000 meals for Kids Against Hunger. (Last year, we did 5,000 Meals)
3. Love for the Homebound: We will write notes to the homebound and those who need encouragement
4. Summer Health Kits: We will package summer health kits to be distributed by the Street Team of the Center.
5. Kirkwood to Bridge Cleanup: We will pray with our neighbors as we rake and weed the flower beds on Kirkwood.
6. Neighborhood Cleanup: We will clean up in the neighborhood in the radius around St. John’s.
7. Random Acts of Kindness: We will do random acts of kindness at two local businesses as we hand out free coffee and wash windows.
8. Layettes Gowns and Sweaters: We will be making UMCOR Layette Gowns and Sweaters for the Midwest Mission Distribution Center. Volunteers will sew, crochet or knit, cut patterns and iron. Our goal is 12 Layette Gowns and Sweaters.
9. Kids Against Hunger Meal: We will prepare our noon meal by using Kids Against Hunger meal ingredients.
10. Rock Painting: We will paint small rocks with encouraging and hopeful messages and hide them in various places. This project is to raise awareness about suicide and suicide prevention.
