Good afternoon members and friends of St. John’s UMC!
This coming weekend worship will be on the radio again @ 9:00 on station 1420 am; and live streamed on Facebook @ 10:00. It is available as well at 10:00 on our website & YouTube.
Sunday recognition: Graduating seniors will have a spotlight during worship—some of them are helping with readings in worship by pre-recording their segment at home this week.
Scripture text: Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
Message: A Time for Caution and a Time for Courage
What time is it in your life? God has made all times for His purpose. I will be sharing specifically on the verse: “a time to keep and a time to throw away.” What are you keeping? In this season when we’ve had so much taken from us by the closure of all social gathering and many businesses? Are you keeping time to read the Bible and pray? What will you throw away? Does God want us to throw out sour attitudes? Or throw away an activity that draws you away from Christ? Or is it actually time to sort out stuff in the attic or garage or basement?
We will include a tribute to the role moms play in our lives and I will be sharing a tribute to my mom and some of the things that she planted into our family.
I invite you to listen in on Sunday at one of the times listed above.
Pastor Jeff
